Some words about Amalafrida...

She was born in the middle of the 5th century and sister of Ostrogothic king Theoderic the Great. She was married to the Vandal king Thrasamund and mother of Theodahad and Amalaberga who married a Thuringian king.
After Thrasamund's death, Amalafrida was arrested by the new Vandal king Hilderic and died around 525. Her death is unexplained - it's most likely that she was murdered.
